Job Description:

The team tests the software that runs Akamai’s worldwide network. It is the world’s largest distributed system. It is the world’s largest distributed system. Our software is a symphony, harmonizing countless innovations. Think of it as a web server, a web client, and a distributed caching engine—all wrapped in one. This powerhouse provides a scalable, fault-tolerant solution. It manages heavy website traffic with ease.

As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be able to:

• Creating detailed test plans that match design specifications and code changes.
• Executing tests on a large-scale distributed test network.
• Verifying the server using white-box, black-box, functional, and stress-testing techniques
• Investigating and analyzing the root causes of technical issues (performance bottlenecks).
• Setting up a testing environment for regression testing and performance testing
• Continuing, advancing, and establishing test resources and automation models.

Eligibility:

• The applicant must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Have one year of experience designing automation frameworks and
• At least one programming language (Python, Perl, C, or C++)
• Have an understanding of data structures, computer networks, and operating systems
• ideas, internet technologies like TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and so on.
• Have hands-on experience working on Unix or Linux.
• Be passionate about solving large-scale distributed system challenges, and have good debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Be self-motivated, work with minimal supervision, be extremely accountable, and have great communication skills.
