What You’ll Do:

The backend/data analytics engineer builds from the ground up to satisfy the needs of mission-critical applications and is constantly searching for new methods to create end-to-end technological solutions that solve client challenges. Uses technical thinking to break down complex data and engineer new ideas and methods for problem-solving, prototyping, designing, and implementing cloud-based solutions. Collaborates with project managers and development partners to ensure that cloud engagements are delivered, deployed, operated, monitored, and supported effectively and efficiently. The backend/data analytics engineer leverages business value experience to drive the creation of novel service offerings that expand HPE’s cloud services portfolio across numerous systems, platforms, and applications.

Management Level Definition:

Contributes to limited-scope assignments by using technical concepts and theoretical knowledge gained through specialized training, education, or prior experience. Acts as a team member, providing information, analysis, and recommendations to help the team succeed. Uses autonomous judgment within predefined boundaries.

What you should bring:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of experience with software development
• 0-2 years of experience in data analytics.
• Knowledge of developing SaaS platforms, highly scalable, and highly available production systems.
• Knowledge of REST/JSON APIs
• Knowledge of Git and CI tools
• Scala and Spark experience is a plus.
• Experience with MongoDB, BigTable, or Redis is a bonus.
• Experience creating and maintaining unit and functional tests.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• English level advanced.
