Description:

Morgan Stanley is looking for a professional to join their expense team as an analyst. The expenditure analyst will collaborate closely with all levels of field management to ensure that T&E expenditure activity presented by field advisors and branch personnel is properly evaluated and approved through various internal systems. The expense analyst reports directly to the expense approval manager. The expenditure analyst will work with field and internal personnel to handle issues that arise during the expenditure review and approval process. Cost analysts are responsible for learning firm policies and procedures so that they can correctly and effectively analyze cost activity.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve expense reimbursement requests for employees in the field and at branches.
  • Handle a huge number of specific requests efficiently and effectively.
  • Offer exceptional customer service to external as well as internal customers.
  • Ensure that requests are processed on time and accurately and that problems are swiftly resolved or escalated.
  • Investigate and address any issues or inadequacies.
  • Follow business policies and processes for cost review and approval.
  • Participate in training sessions to keep up with current policies and practices.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree or similar education experience is preferable, although relevant experience instead of education will be considered. Requirements include excellent interpersonal and client service abilities.
  • At least 0-2.5 years of experience. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent consideration of specifics and judgment
  • Excellent organization and follow-up skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Ability to research and resolve problems and service inquiries
  • Strong computer skills (including Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Team player with collaboration skills
  • Self-motivated to work in a fast-paced environment.
